Dairy Farmers of America and Associated Wholesale Grocers rank among the nation's first largest cooperatives.

Dairy Farmers of America’s revenue of $19.3 billion last year put it billions ahead of the area’s other private companies. But the Kansas City, Kansas-based cooperative is an even more-distant No. 2 behind CHS Inc. on the NCB Co-op 100 list. Minnesota ag cooperative CHS reported revenue of $38.4 billion — up $10 billion from 2020.
