Janet Clark, a second-generation dairy farmer from Rosendale, has been unanimously re-elected as Board Chair for the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW). Representing District 16, Clark will lead the organization alongside the elected Executive Committee throughout the upcoming fiscal year. Her dedication and expertise will also extend to the United Dairy Industry Association (UDIA), where she will serve on the Board of Directors.
The Executive Committee comprises esteemed individuals within the dairy farming community, including Vice-Chair Gail Klinkner, Secretary Sandy Madland, and Treasurer Mark Crave, among others. DFW continues to invest in the Center for Dairy Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to enhance dairy knowledge and innovation.
The DFW Board of Directors, consisting of 25 elected dairy farmers, plays a pivotal role in shaping dairy marketing and promotion efforts, devising policies, managing business affairs, and approving annual budgets for Wisconsin’s dairy farmers.
With a focus on expanding dairy demand, DFW diligently works as an advocate and promoter for Wisconsin’s dairy products, building trust in dairy farmers and the industry. Collaborative initiatives, including national publicity, digital advertising, and retail promotions, aim to drive sales and consumption. In-school education programs and research support reinforce the value of dairy in daily life.
Janet Clark’s re-election represents a powerful commitment to Wisconsin’s thriving dairy community, as she spearheads efforts to bolster the state’s dairy presence on the national stage.
