Milk futures and most cash dairy prices were higher Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August Class III milk was up $0.43 at $17.69.  September was up $0.40 at $18.10. October was up $0.18 at $18.42.  November was up $0.05 at $18.69.  December through June contracts ranged from twelve cents lower in June to three cents higher in January.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.25.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0525 at $1.96.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese barrels were up $0.1075 at $1.87.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.78 to $1.82.

Butter was unchanged at $2.68.  Two sales were recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0125 at $1.1475, wiping out the $0.0125 gain from Friday.  Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.1450 to $1.15.

Synlait’s increase follows strengthening in global commodities prices since last update in early October.
