Beef cows, Icelandic sheep, chickens, goats, rabbits and horses are among the many animals seen at a tour of the Laing Family Farm, Potsdam Sept. 9.

The certified organic farm was among many farms offering tours during the Local Foods Weekend Sept. 8-10, organized by Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Owners Scott and Traci Laing recently converted from a dairy farm to a farm selling beef, eggs, maple syrup, wool, and produce.

They also added two Airbnb cabins on their property, allowing visitors the opportunity to see rural living on a farm.
