At 47 years old, Romain Deurbergue, CEO of Candia, has just been elected president of Syndilait, the professional organization bringing together the main French manufacturers of drinking milk.
Romain Deurbergue has been in charge since the beginning of the year following the departure of former president Éric Forin, who was appointed to the general management of Terrena .
Elected president for three years, he will be assisted by the re-elected vice-presidents: Emmanuel Vasseneix, president of LSDH and Olivier Buiche, general manager of Lactinov. They will be accompanied in their missions by treasurer Dominique Huth, general manager of the butter and cheese division of Agrial and by secretary Daniel Chevreul, general manager of Terra Lacta.
Syndilait’s main missions are to contribute to a better understanding of the milk market, to monitor and contribute to regulatory developments, to support companies in their search for technological and qualitative progress and to support the reputation and image of milk .
” As President of Syndilait, I will continue to work to maintain drinking milk at a fair price, affordable for consumers and sufficiently remunerative for the players in the sector. The sale of our cartons and bottles must allow us to independently finance the projects necessary for the sustainability of our French sector. It is about remaining in control of our strategic choices and continuing our environmental transition to ensure our future and consolidate our contribution to the country’s food sovereignty “, underlines Romain Deurbergue.
