Milk futures lower, cash dairy mixed

January Class III milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed 8 lower at $19.37. February down 10 cents at $19.33. March down 9 at $19.36. April through June futures 5 lower to 8 higher.

Dry whey prices were up $0.0150 at $0.73. Two sales were recorded at $0.72 and $0.73.

Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.73.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0025 at $1.6875.  Two sales were recorded at $1.6825 and $1.6875.

Butter was unchanged at $2.53. No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.3825. Two sales were recorded at that price.
