Argentinian Dairy Market Results
Period analyzed: May 16 to 31, 2025
During the second half of May, Argentina’s dairy exports showed a significant increase in volume, reaching a total of 14,261 tons — a 9.8% rise compared to the first half of the month. However, this higher commercial activity was accompanied by a slight drop in the average price per ton, which stood at USD 3,954, just 0.6% below the price recorded between May 1 and 15 (USD 3,978). In terms of destination diversification, 30 export markets were recorded, two fewer than in the first half of the month.
Monthly balance – May 2025
May closed with a total export volume of more than 27,250 tons, consolidating the month as one of the most active of the year in terms of foreign sales. Despite downward pressure on average prices, the month’s commercial performance reflects a strategy by the export sector aimed at sustaining international market share through volume growth.

Uruguayan Dairy Market Results
Period analyzed: June 16 to 30, 2025
During the second half of June, Uruguay’s dairy exports recorded a decline in volume and average value, although the number of destinations served increased. In total, 6,404 tons were exported, representing a 19.9% drop compared to the first half of the month (8,000.90 tons).
The average price per ton also declined, settling at USD 4,078, representing a decrease of 4.6% compared to USD 4,276 in the first half of the month. This decline may be linked to a composition of shipments with lower value-added products or adjustments in the values agreed upon with price-sensitive markets.
However, the number of destinations grew to 34 markets, compared to 30 in the first half of the month, reflecting greater geographical reach and diversification among buyers, despite the lower total volume exported.
Monthly balance – June 2025
June closed with a total export volume of 14,405 tons, showing a slight contraction compared to the previous month, with a clear slowdown in the second half of the period. The average monthly price stood at around USD 4,188 per ton, indicating downward pressure on prices, possibly influenced by external factors such as regional competition and the sensitivity of international markets to movements in the dollar.
The month ended with an active market in terms of commercial coverage, but with challenges ahead in terms of price sustainability. It will be key to observe in July whether Uruguay manages to stabilize prices and recover the export pace of the first half of the year.
