Nearly $540 million of dairy products moved during the month because of increasing world prices and strong cheese exports. Cheese exports were up 11 percent from 2018 and the highest in five years.
Export volumes were down 13 percent from last year, mostly because of China. Exports there continue to decline, down 67 percent from last year.
