“America’s dairy farmers have supported military families for decades. In fact, many dairy farmers and their families have military backgrounds and/or family members currently serving our country,” says Paul Ziemnisky, executive vice president of global innovation partnerships for DMI, in a company press release. “We’re proud to partner with Domino’s Pizza and Wounded Warrior Project to bring food and celebration to our nation’s veterans and their families.”

Throughout the week of November 9, DMI and Domino’s will be offering up 50% off pizzas for new Domino’s app users. To assist with the promotion, the dairy checkoff company will be working to help market the special offer by utilizing key social media and digital platforms. First-time Domino’s app users and anyone who has not purchased from the app within the last year can input the code App50 at checkout to receive the discount on all menu-priced pizzas, according to the press release.

“Domino’s is proud to join America’s dairy farmers in celebrating our country’s veterans,” says Art D’Elia, chief marketing officer at Domino’s Pizza.

In a separate event, Minnie’s Food Pantry, in collaboration with Wounded Warrior Project, is joining forces with local checkoff organization Dairy MAX and America’s dairy farmers to honor veterans and their families and share the joy of dairy at this year’s “Giving Thanks” food distribution event.

Food pantry volunteers, Wounded Warrior Project staff and volunteers and NFL Dallas Cowboys Legends Drew Pearson, Tony Dorsett and Larry Brown, will be distributing holiday food staples such as turkey and stuffing to veterans during the drive-through event on Nov. 14. Additionally, America’s dairy farmers also will be on site distributing the ultimate comfort foods to attendees – grilled cheese sandwiches and chocolate milk.
