Dairy Farmers of America is partnering with New Mexico Ag in the Classroom to help broaden children's knowledge of agriculture. The initiative provides information on ag literacy and career opportunities.

DFA’s Director of Government and Industry Relations for the southwest area, Walter Bradley speaks with RFD-TV’s own Christina Loren on how the partnership got started and the end goal for the students.

“What we’re doing is reaching out to young people, because we found out real quickly that most people don’t have a clue how milk is produced or how it gets to the table…,” Bradley states. “That tells us that people are growing up with no concept of the food that’s on their table or how it got there and what it takes to make it happen.”

Keith Poulsen’s jaw dropped when farmers showed him images on their cellphones at the World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin in October.
