Grant Watson will replace Richard Wyeth as the new chief executive at Taupō-based dairy company Miraka.
SUPPLIED Dairy company Miraka has announced Grant Watson will replace Richard Wyeth as chief executive.

Wyeth announced his intention to resign in October. He had been at the helm of Miraka since early 2009 and was its first CEO.

In making the announcement, the company’s board chairman Kingi Smiler said Watson’s appointment marked “another chapter in our company’s history as we embark on expanding our consumer products”.

He had a strong history of leading sales and marketing of brands to global markets, said Smiler, and for the past 16 years had held senior executive roles. He was also a past winner of the New Zealand Young Executive of the Year.

“Recently he led the significant growth of Fonterra’s Global Foodservice business, a position he held since 2015 and prior to that was the director of Tip Top and the former chief operating officer for McDonald’s New Zealand.”
