The company that owns Central Dairies says it has faced challenges in supplying milk to the province after last week’s fire at its facility in Mount Pearl. Agropur says it has taken steps to ship product from Nova Scotia, but there were issues finding room for trucks on the ferries, and a shipping fee had to be paid to the province.

This is on top of an investment of €18,060 for extra soiled water storage and additional calf housing over the past ten years, based on a typical 100 cow dairy farm.
