The IDF World Dairy Summit will bring global dairy leaders to Auckland in November 2026, with sustainability, nutrition and innovation at the center of the agenda.
Registrations are now open for the 2026 IDF World Dairy Summit, which will take place from 15–20 November at the New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland. The event is expected to gather more than 1,000 dairy executives, producers, scientists, policymakers and processors from around the world.
Hosted by New Zealand for the third time, the summit will focus on the theme “Healthy People, Healthy Planet and Healthy Economies.” Organizers say the program is designed to explore how dairy can contribute to food security, sustainable farming and long-term economic resilience across the global dairy supply chain.
The agenda will feature plenary sessions, expert panels and workshops covering greenhouse gas reduction, climate adaptation, dairy nutrition, food choice trends and future business models. Discussions will also examine on-farm technologies such as flexible milking systems, data-driven herd management and other innovations shaping the future of dairy production.
A major attraction of the summit will be the technical tours planned across New Zealand’s dairy sector. Delegates will have access to farms, manufacturing facilities and research centers, providing firsthand insight into the country’s pasture-based production systems, sustainability practices and dairy processing expertise.
Industry leaders believe the event will strengthen New Zealand’s position as a global dairy powerhouse. The country accounts for roughly 40% of the world’s traded dairy products, and the summit is expected to highlight its role in advancing dairy innovation, environmental stewardship and international trade.
