Brian Gilmore from Co, Armagh, N.Ireland gave 2220gns for another Scandanavian Red cross and Cheshire buyers SEA Aidley and Co purchased several at up to 2200gns.

Averages: 193 cows, £1302.54; 70 served heifers, £1489.20

Auctioneers: Norton and Brooksbank.

When Western Australian dairy farmer Colin Gilbert wanted to sell his award-winning Guernsey herd, he chose to take all 50 head on a 3000km road trip to Rochester.
