Canada’s largest dairy showcase is putting the next generation and international cooperation at the center of its 2026 strategy.

The 2026 edition of the Canadian Dairy XPO is sharpening its focus on youth engagement and international collaboration as it prepares to welcome more than 17,000 dairy professionals to Stratford, Ontario. Organizers say the event is designed not only to showcase new technology and genetics, but also to strengthen the future workforce and build closer links with global dairy markets.

A major addition to this year’s program is Youth Day, which will connect students and young professionals with employers across the dairy sector. The initiative includes résumé reviews, networking opportunities and hands-on activities aimed at helping young people explore careers in dairy production, genetics, processing and agribusiness.

The event will also feature several youth-oriented activities, including a dairy judging clinic, a clipping clinic and interactive learning programs. Organizers believe these sessions will help develop practical skills while encouraging more young Canadians to become involved in the dairy industry at a time when succession planning is becoming a growing concern for farms and agribusinesses.

International cooperation is another central theme of the 2026 show. Dedicated pavilions from Germany and the Netherlands will give Canadian producers direct access to global innovations in dairy equipment, genetics and management systems. The expo is organized by DLG Markets North America, part of the German Agricultural Society, which uses the event to connect Canadian producers with international suppliers and knowledge networks.

With more than 300 exhibitors from over 30 countries, the expo continues to position itself as the leading meeting place for the Canadian dairy industry. By combining youth recruitment with stronger international partnerships, the 2026 event is aiming to help dairy producers improve competitiveness, adopt new technologies and prepare the next generation of industry leaders.
