Dairy farmers in Pennsylvania say oversupply and lack of demand is keeping them from turning a profit.


And that’s really hurting their bottom line.
Some say unless they see major legislative change – they could go out of business,
Dairy farmers hope the “farming first” bill, passed by the Senate this month, helps the industry surrounded by increasing uncertainty.
“I don’t think there’s any dairy farmer in Pennsylvania that hasn’t been affected by the low milk prices.” says Fred Graybill, Dairy Farmer
If passed the “farming first” bill package would create a tax credit program that would help young generations of farmers buy or lease land.

Synlait’s increase follows strengthening in global commodities prices since last update in early October.
