South Dairy Trade ARGENTINA:
The Argentine dairy market starts November with rising prices but lower export volumes
The first half of November (01/11 – 15/11/2024) shows mixed performance in Argentina’s dairy exports. The average price per ton reached USD 3,643.54, marking an increase of 1.65% compared to the second half of October (16/10 – 31/10/2024), when it stood at USD 3,584.47. This rise indicates a possible shift towards markets willing to pay more for higher value-added products.
However, export volumes dropped by 8.48%, decreasing from 15,018.91 tons in October to 13,744.90 tons in November. Additionally, the number of destinations fell from 33 to 28, suggesting a concentration on strategic clients or challenges in diversifying markets.
November kicks off with stronger price consolidation but reduced diversification and market reach—key aspects to watch closely in the second half of the month.
