Dairy prices rose slightly in the latest global auction overnight.
Cautious: Fonterra says the global dairy market is showing positive signs but its opening $5.85 price reflects what it's currently earning.

The average price was $US3330 dollars a tonne.
The half a percent increase compares with a rise of 0.2 percent and 2 percent in the previous two auctions.
Whole milk powder remained unchanged at $US3133 a tonne.
Skim milk powder rose 2.4 percent, while butter slipped 0.4 percent and cheddar 2.2 percent.
