Danone has expanded its Aptamil powder baby milk portfolio with the introduction of a new range of organic formula milks.

The Aptamil Organic range, which covers ‘all three stages of baby feeding’, includes: Aptamil Organic Infant Milk (from birth); Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk (for age 6-12 months); and Aptamil Organic Toddler Milk (from 12 months).

The range, which comes in 800g EazyPack powder format, is said to have been certified by an independent organic certification body.

According to Danone, the Follow On and Toddler Milks are made with vitamins A, C and D, alongside GOS/FOS, iron and omega-3.

Sandra Eglau, marketing director of Aptamil UK, said: “We know from listening to parents that they are increasingly seeking organic options. Our new Aptamil Organic range is one way we are delivering on parents’ modern needs, bringing parents and their little ones the latest innovations our science has to offer.

“It’s great to hear the positive feedback we’ve already received from parents who have trialled the product with 93% of parents recommending Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk. We have crafted this product with care, and this has clearly been recognised.”

The new Aptamil Organic range is currently rolling out nationwide in the UK and Ireland and will be stocked by retailers including Boots, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury’s. The RRP for the products ranges from £12.50 (stage three) to £13.50 (stages one and two).

Earlier this year, Danone launched new sachet packaging for its Aptamil and Cow & Gate powder baby milk ranges in the UK.

Farmers will protest across France on Monday as the prospect of a trade deal between European and Mercosur countries sharpens discontent over foreign competition that fuelled a farming crisis earlier this year.
