The divestment follows the company’s earlier sale of its Feed Enzymes activities to Novonesis in 2025 for €1.5bn, bringing the combined valuation of ANH portfolio sales to approximately €3.7bn and signaling dsm-firmenich’s exit from broader animal feed markets that have faced margin pressure and volatility.

The ANH business, which generated around €3.5bn in net sales in 2025 and employs roughly 8,000 people, will be reorganized into two standalone companies based in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland: a Solutions Company focused on performance solutions, premix and precision services, and an Essential Products Company centered on vitamins, carotenoids and aroma ingredients.

DSM-Firmenich will retain a 20% equity stake in both new entities and enter into a long-term supply agreement to secure continuity of vitamins for its human and pet food applications, while also planning a €0.5bn share buyback programme and a “stable to preferably rising” dividend policy to enhance shareholder returns.
