The USDA is lowering its price forecast for most milk products. Non-fat dry milk is down $0.09 per lb. and dry whey is down $0.03 per lb.

Butter prices are showing some strength due to strong demand here at home and relatively tight stocks.

Forecasters say prices could come down a little bit going into next year. They say to expect lower Class II and Class IV prices by the end of 2022, which translates into a lower All-Milk price by $0.95 per cwt. Going into 2023, the All-Milk price is expected to drop to $22.50, down $1.65 per cwt. That’s down $2.70 per cwt. from 2021.
