The flavoured yoghurts are claimed to have less sugar than competing flavoured offerings, have no artificial flavours or colouring, and are free from GMOs. Flavours include Mango, Vanilla Bean, Passionfruit, Strawberry, Natural, and Coffee Bean.

Chris Elliot, CEO of Barambah Organics, the parent company of Five:AM, said consumers are becoming more interested in sustainability and looking for products that are better for the environment.

“All our products are free from GMO, synthetic pesticides and herbicides,” said Elliot. “Moreover, organic tastes better, which is why retailers want more organic dairy from us.”

The brand also has new 120g organic yoghurt pouches in five flavours – mango, strawberry, blueberry, vanilla bean, and cacao.

Richard Thayne, GM for marketing, Five:AM, said the company has been running consumer sampling sessions in Woolworths stores, and the feedback has been “overwhelmingly positive”.

“We’re pleased to launch new yoghurt & impulse milk ranges with a new look and even better taste,” said Thayne.

“Our 1kg range of flavours are lower in sugar than competitor alternatives, without compromising taste.”

Meanwhile, the brand’s first line of flavoured milks will be available only in select Woolworth stores in Victoria and NSW.

As part of the brand’s sustainability focus, the flavoured milks are packed in 350ml bottles made from 100 per cent recycled and recyclable plastic. Flavours include iced coffee, chocolate, and manuka honey.

Five:AM’s 1kg flavoured yoghurt range is available in Woolworths stores nationwide with an RRP of $9.50. The 120g yoghurt pouches are distributed through the Metcash network, including IGA, with an RRP of $2.20.
