Fonterra CEO Miles Hurrell has confirmed Judith Swales to the role of Chief Operating Officer, Global Consumer and Foodservice.

This follows her appointment to the role in an acting capacity earlier this year.
Miles Hurrell says “Judith has been providing strong leadership into our Consumer and Foodservice business unit, and the momentum she has gathered deserves to be continued”.
“Judith’s strengths as a leader lie in her ability to quickly understand what needs to be done and her action-orientation – she’s very purposeful in the way she goes about things and I have every confidence in her delivering the kind of performance that people expect from us. I’m very pleased to have Judith at the helm of our Global Consumer & Foodservice business.”
Judith has worked in Fonterra since 2013 and is already a member of the executive team. She has extensive leadership experience in consumer businesses and transformation, across multiple industries, including her previous roles as Managing Director of the Co-op’s Oceania business and Chief Operating Officer of Fonterra’s transformation and innovation function.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
