Fonterra informed that it is closing its office in Egypt after 30 years of permanence, however will continue serving its customers in Egypt via its other offices in Middle East and Africa.

This says the statement:

Update ont the Egypt Entyti

After much consideration, we want to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to close our office in Egypt.

Fonterra has been operating in Egypt for over 30 years, and has developed a strong business underpinned by deep and valued customer relationships there, and also in Libya and Sudan. These markets and our customers remain important for Fonterra and we continue to have aspirations to develop our business further in the years ahead.

However, due to global macroeconomic challenges and the recent decision to exit the Fonterra Consumer Brands business in Egypt, we have decided to close the office. We know this decision is difficult, especially for our team in Egypt, and we also recognise this introduces a degree of uncertainty for our customers. Our focus right now is to support a smooth transition for our team and you, our customers.

We will continue to serve Egypt, Sudan and Libya from across the Fonterra Middle East & Africa region, and will shortly be providing more clarity on the relationship teams who will be supporting you going forward.

In the meantime if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
