Fonterra milk collection fell 2.4% YOY in March to 134.4mkg of milksolids, with seasonal to date intake flat at 1,283.4m kg of milksolids. The fall in March output is attributed to unfavourable weather in the North Island, partially offset by good conditions in the South Island.

In the North Island, milk intake fell 9% YOY to 69.1mkg of milksolids in March, taking seasonal output 3.0% behind the prior season comparable. Milk intake in the South Island, rose 5.6% to 65.3mkg of milksolids with season-to-date collections 4.3% ahead of prior year.
