FrieslandCampina Ingredients (Amersfoort, The Netherlands) will showcase new product concepts in protein and prebiotics at the Natural Products Expo West trade show in Anaheim, CA. The company’s Booth is #4489.

First, the company will sample a new chocolate plant-protein drink featuring its Plantaris Pea Isolate 85 A ingredient. “Specially designed to help manufacturers overcome common challenges in plant-based formulation, Plantaris Pea Isolate 85 A delivers a neutral taste, enhanced powder handling, [and] improved dispersibility, solubility, and stability,” the company’s press release states. “Together, these characteristics result in premium plant-based applications with enhanced mouthfeel and taste, all while delivering 10% high-quality protein per serving.”

The company will also showcase a clear protein water fortified with its Nutri Whey Isolate Clear ingredient. The water is available in flavors like grapefruit and pomegranate, or cucumber and lime, and includes 16.5 g of high-quality whey protein isolate.

Finally, the firm will draw on its prebiotic expertise, specifically with its Biotis GOS-OP High-Purity ingredient, which the firm says delivers “a higher concentration of available GOS—typically around 94%—than other prebiotics available on the market.” The company will showcase Biotis’s performance in gummy supplements, noting that “historically, creation of prebiotic gummies has been hampered by formulation challenges.”
