Dairy | Houlton Farms Dairy to discontinue milk product line due to rising costs and declining sales

Houlton Farms Dairy, in operation since 1938, announced Friday that it will discontinue its milk product line at the end of September 2024.

The company cited rising production costs and a decline in milk sales as the primary reasons for the decision.

According to Houlton Farms Dairy, increasing difficulty in obtaining raw milk and other necessary products has also contributed to the move.

The company stated that the rising costs of operations have made it unsustainable to continue producing milk products at an affordable price.
