Farmers are warning the devastation caused by this month's widespread flooding will push dairy and vegetable prices up, as the rains wipe out crops and the clean up is set to cost hundreds of million of dollars.

After years of drought, which farmers were only beginning to recover from, the extreme weather events affecting Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria are another hit to the agriculture sector.
