Lamers Dairy is celebrating two prestigious honors that it received for a pair of its milk products, earning first-place awards for whole milk and chocolate milk.

Lamers Dairy Dairlyand’s Best 1% Lowfat Chocolate Milk scored a 99.88 to earn first place in the Lowfat Chocolate Milk 1% category. But, that wasn’t all for Lamers Dairy, as their Whole White Milk earned a 99.81 in the Open Class Pasteurized Milk category, taking home first place as well.

Lamers Dairy is the only Wisconsin processor in either of the categories. The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Products contest is hosted by the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association, and the event celebrated its 21st year of competition.

“Thanks to all the hardworking farm families who supply Lamers Dairy with high-quality milk to allow us to achieve this award,” Lamers Dairy president Mark Lamers said.

Lamers Dairy, along with the other top three finishers in each category will be honored at the World Dairy Expo on Oct. 1 in Madison. For more information, visit the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association’s website.
