Local dairy farmers have launched a new campaign to promote fresh, local milk.

The Give It Two Percent More campaign acknowledges the challenges of the last two years, as well as shifting consumer priorities and lifestyles.

General Manager of DFNL, John Moores says the quality of the milk produced and processed in Newfoundland and Labrador remains constant and the campaign highlights creative ways for people to enjoy local milk – including promotion, couponing and recipe ideas.

Fonterra has a backup plan to retain its consumer brands and businesses should they not attract enough buyer interest or shareholders vote to retain them, the co-op’s annual meeting heard.
