It’s been over a year since the COVID-19 pandemic caused milk prices to plummet and gradually rebound, during which time a multitude of dairy farmers have utilized Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) and Dairy Revenue Protection (Dairy-RP) as tools to manage milk price risk.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County and the Capital Area Agriculture & Horticulture Program invite you to join Farm Business Management Educator, Dayton Maxwell as he hosts David Holck of Farm Service Agency and Tristan Peterson with Crop Growers Insurance. Mr. Holck will offer updates relative to Dairy Margin Coverage and the latest in Pandemic Market Volatility Assistance programs while Mr. Peterson will discuss the most recent news regarding Dairy Revenue Protection.

As part of the program Mr. Maxwell will deliver a brief commentary of the financial measures that make a dairy farm a viable candidate for using these risk management tools.

The cost of the meeting is $10 per farm, no limit on the number of people from a farm attending. Registration and online payment are available at: https://caahp.ccext.net/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=147

DemoDAIRY Foundation has now contributed more than $500,000 over the past six years to help develop a better future for the dairy industry in south-west Victoria.
