At Macks Creek, dairy farmer Michael McKenzie has dried off 40 cows to help them recover after days of disrupted milking.

And that means he’s missing out on vital income at a time of year when he’s normally paid his highest price for milk.

Meanwhile, in central Victoria farmers are busy clearing huge cypress trees, uprooted in 140 km/hour winds on Wednesday night.

Farmer, Ross Hanson and his daughter Victoria are are still waiting for their power to come back on.
