
Block cheese inched a quarter of a penny higher to $2.35/lb. Barrels gained 5 cents to $2.38/lb. Butter was up 1 penny to $2.66/lb. NFDM finished half a penny higher to $1.74/lb. Whey fell a quarter of a penny to $0.5850/lb.
Class III milk futures traded higher but came off its highs as the day progressed. May milk gained 22 cents to $24.94/cwt. June milk settled at $24.32/cwt. July milk advanced 12 cents to $24.24/cwt. Class IV milk futures were slightly higher.
Grain markets traded higher on the day. December corn gained 2.25 cents to $7.3850/bu. November soybeans added 5.25 cents to $14.9175/bu. July soybean meal was up $1.70 to $419.90/ton. September Chicago Wheat surged 28 cents to $11.0725/bu.
The livestock sector was mixed on the day. June live cattle fell $1.05 to $133.77/cwt. August feeder cattle lost $1.82 to $174.37/cwt. June lean hogs rallied $1.97 to $107.07/cwt. June crude oil was up 58 cents to $108.39/barrel.
