Block and barrel cheese held steady at $2.32 and $2.3675/lb. Butter was down ¾ of a penny to $2.7750/lb. NFDM fell ½ of a penny to $1.82/lb. Whey remains unchanged at $0.6350/lb.
Class III milk futures were mostly lower on the day. May milk fell 8 cents to $24.85/cwt. June milk gained 3 cents to $24.85/cwt. July milk dropped 4 cents to $24.65/cwt. Class IV volume was light with one contract trading in April and one in September.
The grain markets were higher on the day. December corn advanced 13 cents to $7.31/bushel. November soybeans climbed 21.25 cents to $15.07/bushel. May soybean meal finished $1.80 higher to $460.90/ton. September Chicago Wheat surged 23 cents to $11.09/bushel.
The livestock sector traded in the green today. June live cattle pushed $1.50 higher to $136.30/cwt. May feeder cattle was up $1.02 to $160.92/cwt. May lean hogs rallied $3.25 to $112.25/cwt. May crude oil rebounded $6.49 to $100.78/barrel.
