Karachi Dairy Farmers Association has announced to increase milk price by Rs23 per litre in the provincial metropolis.

With the recent hike in the prices, milk price has climbed to Rs108 per litre which will directly affect the consumers.
Dairy Farm Association Chief Shakir Umar on Monday said that talks between the association and Karachi Commissioner proved futile which compelled them to hike prices.
He added that “earlier, we priced milk at Rs85 per litre to give relief to the consumers; however, we have to increase the price to balance the cost margin.”
Umar further added the increase comes after an increase in transport charges, cow fodder and other expenses.

Saputo’s newly-appointed chief operations officer Frank Guido is to step down for unstated personal reasons, the dairy giant has announced.
