The dispute between Sunlait and Savencia for non-compliance with milk prices passed before the Caen Court of Appeal, this Tuesday, September 19, 2023. The deliberation is expected in November.
In September 2022, Sunlait took Savencia to court for non-compliance with the formula for determining the base price of milk, contractualized in June 2018.
The Coutances judicial court convicted Savencia in its deliberations of August 30, 2022 . Savencia chose to appeal this judgment. The case was therefore referred to the Court of Appeal of Caen (Calvados) .
The hearing took place on September 19, 2023 .
Around twenty milk producers present in Caen
Around twenty producers from different Producer Organizations (POs) members of the AOP Sunlait came to attend the hearing.
The deliberation is postponed until November 28, 2023.
Sunlait remains “convinced of the need to achieve a beneficial and lasting partnership relationship, with respect for everyone”.
