Lift down to strong commodity performance in both price and sales.
Miraka has updated its milk price to a new midpoint of $9.60/kg MS and a range of $9.10-$10.10/kg MS.
Miraka chief executive Karl Gradon said they were pleased to be announcing an increase in the milk price for their dairy farmers, following a period of strong performance of commodity prices and sales.
“In October, we forecast a season payout of $9.17/kg MS. Our announcement today, of a mid-point of $9.60 per kg/MS, which takes our overall forecast for the 2024-2025 season to $9.77/kg MS, including incentives, is highly competitive and has been well received by our dairy farmers.”
Dairy farmers who supply milk to Miraka can earn an additional premium of up to $0.20/kg MS under the company’s on-farm excellence programme, Te Ara Miraka.
Miraka has paid more than $25 million in premiums to milk suppliers since 2015.
