Global dairy group Parmalat has just released an innovative cream spread set to carve out a new category in the Hispanic dairy market.

Nata Crema para Desayuno (Nata Breakfast Cream) is a delicious, naturally sweet clotted cream made with real California whole milk. Popular in Mexico and Latin America, the spread is the perfect complement to your daily breakfast or a cravable snack. Spread it on toast topped with honey, put a spoonful on your favorite fruit, or mix it into your favorite dessert.

Rostom Baghdassarian, CEO of California specialty cheese producer and distributor, Karoun Dairies said, “Dairy products are emerging as the breakfast of choice for time-pressed consumers. This launch was in direct response to consumer demand for wholesome comfort food for the whole family.”

Parmalat Nata is certified Kosher and Halal and made with rBST-free fresh California whole milk. Now sold at select grocery retailers in Southern California and Chicago at a suggested retail price of $3.99 for a 12 oz tub.

A new range of premium dips under the Parmalat label are also set to launch by Q1 2022.

Parmalat’s latest innovation comes as the brand’s controlling group, Lactalis, is experiencing robust growth. French-based dairy company Lactalis has snared top spot as the world’s largest dairy company, dislodging global behemoth Nestlé that has dominated for decades. Rabobank’s annual Global Dairy Top 20 report revealed Lactalis has grown its turnover to $US23 billion. With a portfolio of brands that includes Président®, Galbani®, Parmalat®, Stonyfield Organic®, siggi’s®, Karoun®, rondele®, and Black Diamond®, Lactalis has a strong presence in the U.S. with 8 plants in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Idaho, Arizona and California, and 2,600 employees across the country. The company has been an important part of the U.S. food supply for 40 years, a leader in responsible manufacturing and sourcing practices across America, and a key driver of expanded international demand for U.S.-made cheese and dairy products.
