Australian dairy farmers are being encouraged to speak up and show why dairy matters in an initiative by the Australian Dairy Conference.

The Australian dairy industry has had its fair share of challenges recently, with dairy farmers doing it tough among adverse climate conditions, ongoing industry exits and heightened external scrutiny.
A part of the 2020 ADC, The Perfect Pitch initiative encourages dairy farmers to share their insight and perspective by creating a 30-second take on why dairy matters using humour and flair.
The general public will vote for six finalists who will receive free registration to ADC Melbourne 2020.
A judging panel will decide the winner who will be named the Dairy Matters Pitch Champion and become a Dairy Matters ambassador for Dairy Australia. ADC is the premier dairy event held each February for farmers by farmers with a global reputation for challenging the status quo with its independent mandate and agenda.
Conference program chairman Brendan Hehir said the latest campaign sought to involve and engage those involved in farming and spread positive messages.
“The concept developed by this year’s program committee challenges our members to show us what is great about the industry and why dairy matters to them,” Mr Hehir said.
“We are looking for the most creative, entertaining and inventive ads that help promote the industry in a positive light.”
Entries to The Perfect Pitch are open until November 30. For details or to apply visit https://www.australiandairyconference.com.au/.
