A Bismarck-area dairy says it will stop producing milk and reconfigure itself as a distribution-only facility. Officials with Prairie Farms Dairy Incorporated say the company plans to move the production side of its business to other facilities after determining that its business would be better served by dropping production at the Bismarck plant. A company spokesperson added that some workers at the Bismarck plant had been laid off last week.
It was not immediately clear whether more layoffs were forthcoming.
