At 47 years old, Romain Deurbergue, CEO of Candia, has just been elected president of Syndilait, the professional organization bringing together the main French manufacturers of drinking milk.

Romain Deurbergue has been in charge since the beginning of the year following the departure of former president Éric Forin, who was appointed to the general management of Terrena .

Elected president for three years, he will be assisted by the re-elected vice-presidents: Emmanuel Vasseneix, president of LSDH and Olivier Buiche, general manager of Lactinov. They will be accompanied in their missions by treasurer Dominique Huth, general manager of the butter and cheese division of Agrial and by secretary Daniel Chevreul, general manager of Terra Lacta.

Syndilait’s main missions are to contribute to a better understanding of the milk market, to monitor and contribute to regulatory developments, to support companies in their search for technological and qualitative progress and to support the reputation and image of milk .

Career:  A graduate of HEC Paris, Romain Deurbergue began his career at Pfizer in finance and management control before joining Danone in 2013 where he held various positions. From 2018, he became CFO of Nutricia – a Danone subsidiary specializing in medical nutrition. He joined Candia in 2020 as CFO, before being appointed to the general management in March 2024. In this capacity, he joined the Comex of Sodiaal.
