A NUMBER of dairy farms in the south west have had their milk contracts cancelled.
Saputo Dairy UK has announced that they have served notice to ‘a small number of their Davidstow-supplying farms’.
The company has said the reasons have been provided to the farms that have been affected, and that this is not a decision they have ‘taken lightly’.
A spokesperson for Saputo Dairy UK said: “Saputo Dairy UK has recently made the decision to serve notice on a small number of our Davidstow-supplying farms.
“We are offering the impacted farms support during their 12-month notice periods.
“We are incredibly proud of our supplying farms and the high-quality milk they produce for our market-leading cheeses.”
