DFA’s TruMoo teams up with Marvel to launch berry-flavored milk and special packaging, boosting dairy for kids.

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is bringing a touch of superhero excitement to the dairy aisle with the launch of its new special edition Fantastic Four-themed flavored milk under the TruMoo brand. Unveiled on July 1st, this innovative product, aptly named TurMoo Fantastic Berry Lowfat Milk, draws inspiration from Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated upcoming movie, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” Each serving of this berry-flavored milk packs 8 grams of complete protein, aiming to provide essential nutrition with a playful twist for younger consumers.

Beyond the TruMoo Fantastic Berry offering, DFA is extending the superhero theme to its regional brands. Well-known names such as Alta Dena, Tuscan Dairy, and Garelick Farms will also feature traditional white milk in eye-catching special packaging adorned with the iconic Fantastic Four characters. This broad-reaching campaign aims to capture the imagination of children and parents alike, encouraging milk consumption across various product lines within the dairy industry.

Adding an interactive element to the campaign, TruMoo is offering consumers exclusive color-changing drinking glasses. These unique glasses feature the four Fantastic Four characters—Human Torch, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Mister Fantastic—and reveal the superheroes as the glass is filled with milk. Consumers can claim these collectible glasses by submitting proofs of purchase online, with new designs being released weekly starting July 18th. This initiative combines marketing innovation with fun to make milk-drinking moments more engaging for children.

Rachel Kyllo, DFA’s chief marketing officer of dairy brands, underscored the nutritional benefits of the new product line. She emphasized that the milk provides essential calcium, protein, and vitamins crucial for the healthy development of growing children. This focus on both appeal and nutrition is a strategic move to promote dairy products as a vital part of a child’s diet.

This collaborative venture between DFA’s TruMoo and Marvel Studios exemplifies a creative approach to marketing dairy products and engaging with family consumers. By infusing the popularity of superheroes with the foundational nutrition of milk, DFA aims to strengthen brand loyalty, drive sales, and reinforce the perception of dairy as a fun and beneficial choice for children’s health, positively impacting dairy economics through novel consumer outreach.
