TDSG acquires assets of Total Dairy Solutions

TDSG LLC, doing business as The Dairy Solutions Group, announced it has finalized an agreement to acquire the Arizona, California and Idaho locations of Total Dairy Solutions (TDS). TDSG is a newly formed subsidiary of Omaha-based Standard Nutrition Company (SNC), its majority owner.

The TDS assets acquired by TDSG currently serve dairy producers in significant markets throughout the western United States. TDS employees are trusted resources for dairy farmers and represent the industry’s most respected innovators, offering new technology with long-standing relationships. With this acquisition, TDSG will employ the TDS team and continue the operations purchased under the new company, which will be based out of California.

“Since its launch, TDS has been offering quality products and services to dairy producers, and they have built an impressive customer base in some key dairy producing states,” said Bill Dyer, president of SNC. “We welcome the addition of their expertise and knowledge into the Standard family of companies and look forward to our continued growth in the dairy industry.”

Ryan Calistro, who served as chief customer officer for TDS, has been named president of the newly formed TDSG and will oversee the company’s operations moving forward.

“Standard Nutrition has a long, successful history of serving dairy producers throughout many regions of the country, so becoming a part of this company and being able to tap into its existing network of resources and expertise is exciting,” said Calistro. “We felt the talent level and skill set within the TDS organization would complement the market presence Standard Nutrition’s group of companies had already established in similar markets. Working alongside Standard’s current group, sharing strengths and providing a better, overall solution to the market was key in forming this relationship. It really is a win-win for everyone.”

TDSG will continue to work with producers to help increase farm productivity and promote sustainable food production through the integration of technology, equipment, strategic expertise and services.

“TDS has built an excellent reputation in the marketplace and is a leader in helping dairy producers enhance their operations through the use of robotic milking and other advanced technologies and services,” said Dyer. “As the dairy industry continues to change and adapt to ever-increasing market pressures, being able to continue to provide this expertise and knowledge to producers through TDSG will be incredibly important.”
