That unusual sight was just one of many challenges Fonterra Clandeboye’s amenities staff were given as part of their team building day out.
Organiser Rose Pierce said the day was full of clues, challenges and laughter – the more challenges people completed the more points they earned.
As well as dancing up Stafford St participants also had to busk outside a supermarket, dangle their feet in a wishing well and pose for a photo in a whaling pot, Pierce said.
The group was split into two teams competing for top spot – while sitting in a fountain got one team member wet, it also earned them extra points.
She said clues led the teams all over town including the Benvenue Cliffs, where they circled Blacketts Lighthouse singing.
One clue in particular meant participants stopped on a street with the name of a former mayor, where they posed on a bike fence before finding hidden treasure in a man cave.
The day also included a Paverpol class, lunch at West End Hall and ended with dinner at a Timaru Japanese restaurant.
