Prosper-based dairy farm Dairy Manufacturers Inc. has issued a recall of three baby formula products after they were found to be in noncompliance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or concern this may cause and assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of our products,” the dairy company said in a May 24 recall statement.
The recalled products are Crecelac Infant 0-12, Farmalac 0-12 and Farmalac 0-12 Low lactose.
There have been no reported cases of illness, injury, or adverse reactions among those who have consumed these products, Dairy Manufacturers’ recall statement said.
“Parents and caregivers should understand that the products have not been evaluated by FDA to determine whether they meet U.S. food safety and nutritional standards,” the company’s announcement said.
The products were sold only in Texas at the retail level. Consumers who have purchased Crecelac Infant 0-12, Farmalac 0-12, or Farmalac 0-12 Low Lactose are advised to stop using the recalled products and take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund, Dairy Manufacturers said.
