Upstate Niagara Cooperative rebrands as UNC Dairy
Upstate Niagara Cooperative has rebranded with a new trade name, UNC Dairy. UNC Dairy

The 230-farm cooperative behind Upstate Farms milk products and Bison dip is shortening its name.
Upstate Niagara Cooperative, which operates Batavia’s O-AT-KA Milk Products plant, is adopting a shortened trade name, “UNC Dairy.”
The new brand will appear on the cooperative’s website and in corporate communication, but consumer products’ brand names will remain the same.
“This brand evolution marks a significant milestone in Upstate Niagara Cooperative’s journey and our focus on dairy and dairy products,” UNC CEO Kevin Ellis told Dairy Foods magazine last week.
“Our visual identity is more than just a fresh look; these new brand elements better represent our deep-rooted commitment to producing high-quality, innovative dairy products while remaining a dedicated partner to our more than 230 farmer-owners,” Ellis continued. “We are a cooperative with a rich history and a bright future, and this reinvigorated brand reflects that.”
The name change comes as the cooperative expands its facility in West Seneca, south of Buffalo, to meet rising demand for Greek yogurt and cottage cheese.
UNC Dairy includes fluid and fluid/ice cream facilities in Batavia, Buffalo, Rochester, West Seneca, Syracuse, North Lawrence and Williamsport, Pa.
The farmer-owned cooperative offers numerous product lines which are popular throughout New York and beyond, and are available at area supermarkets.
