The open forum for dairy farmers, which has been organised by Farmer Power, will be addressed by Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) deputy chair Mick Keogh.
Mr Keogh will answer questions about the proposed code and be part of a discussion panel.
The forum will be held at City Memorial Bowls Club in Cramer Street, Warrnambool, from 7pm on Wednesday, February 13.
Farmer Power chief executive officer Garry Kerr said speakers from interstate will also address the meeting.
Mr Kerr said the federal agricultural department was expected to release its draft recommendations for the mandatory code before the end of January.
The ACCC has proposed the code of conduct to address “the inherent bargaining power imbalance” between dairy farmers and dairy processors.
Dairy farmers have complained about low farmgate milk prices paid by processors.
