The dairy products brand of the Sodiaal cooperative is launching a range of yogurt brewed in bricks next January. A new product which required 18 months of R&D and an investment of €10 million in a new packaging line within the Yoplait factory in Le Mans , in charge of the production of this pour-over yogurt. A sum included in a total budget of €28 million injected this year into the three industrial sites of the little flower brand, located in Vienne (38), Monéteau (89) and Le Mans.
30 EMPLOYEES MOBILIZED
30 employees out of the 300 employed by Yoplait in Sarthe are mobilized on this new production. This yogurt will be available in 9 flavors and packaged in a fully recyclable 750 gram carton, the equivalent of 6 pots. Taken over by Sodiaal in 2021 from the General Mills group, Yoplait has seen its turnover increase by 25% over the last two years to €750 million at the end of 2023.
