To provide better facilities to livestock breeders in the state a Centre of Excellence in the dairy sector will soon be established in Rajasthan with the help of Denmark.

Danish Ambassador Freddy Svane discussed this while meeting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during his visit to Jaipur. CM Gehlot discussed the possibilities of cooperation and investment in agriculture and animal husbandry, food, green technology, chemical and textile and other sectors.

Outlines of cooperation between Rajasthan and Denmark for the drinking water supplies sector were also deliberated upon.Danish Ambassador assured to provide all possible cooperation to the state in order to avail benefits of the advancements made by Denmark in the field of dairy science and technology.

The two dignitaries also talked about the possibilities of cooperation in water conservation and river rejuvenation sectors. It was further discussed that the Danish companies were providing good technical support for the ongoing water conservation and river rejuvenation works in Udaipur.

This is on top of an investment of €18,060 for extra soiled water storage and additional calf housing over the past ten years, based on a typical 100 cow dairy farm.
